Postponement of the 2020 “YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program"

As COVID-19 continues to spread, and in the interests of the health and safety of all participants, YF Life Insurance International Ltd. (YF Life) has announced the postponement of the selection process and other activities related to the “YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program” for the year 2020. Further arrangements for the program will be announced in due course on the program website www.itispossible.com.hk.

Ms. Jeanne Sau, Chief Marketing Officer of YF Life, said, “The well-being and safety of participants have always been our prime concern. As the pandemic continues to spread, and after in-depth consideration, we have decided to postpone the ‘YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program’ selection process and related activities. We will closely monitor the latest developments in the pandemic situation and further arrangements will be announced at a later date. We are very grateful for the staunch support of children, parents, and schools, as well as our program patrons and judges, including presidents of the universities in Hong Kong and Macau and dignitaries in the community. We will continue to uphold the spirit of ‘It is Possible!’ and fight the virus together.”

The “YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program” was founded in 1999. It is the first program to provide simulated astronaut training for children from Hong Kong and Macau. Since its inception, the Program has helped 150 children make their space dreams come true. With its all-round, innovative and unique training methodology, the Program is designed to spark and nurture children’s interest in space exploration and advanced aerospace technology, as well as strengthen the parent-child bond through a series of parent-child collaborative activities. The slogan “It is Possible!” encourages children to take on challenges and go beyond themselves.
