2025 YF Life Jr. Astronauts revealed

The 3rd Round Interview for the 2025 YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program, fully sponsored and organized by YF Life Insurance International Ltd. (YF Life), was successfully held on Jun 7. twenty-one exceptional individuals completed fiercely for the coveted title of “YF Life Jr. Astronauts of the year.”
The star-studded judge panels for the event consisted of celebrities and professionals from different sectors, including Ms. Candy Chea Shuk-mui, Ten Outstanding Young Persons Awardee and Media Veteran; Prof. Chan Chi Hou, Vice-President (Community Engagement) at City University of Hong Kong; Ir. Dr. Raymond Ho Chung-tai, Hong Kong Deputy to the 10th and 11th National People’s Congress of the PRC; Mr. Timothy Ho Man-hung, Curator of the Hong Kong Space Museum; Mr. J. P. Lee, Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce - Hong Kong; Mr. Peter Lui Kin-chuen, President of the Hong Kong Aerospace Society, and Mrs. Mak Ho Siu-kuen, an Occupational Therapist & Senior Child Development Consultant.
After months of exciting challenges and intense competitions, the 2025 YF Life Jr. Astronauts are unveiled. They are Jocelyn Charlotte Beeton, Chan Mick, Chen Tsz Lam, Choi Tsz Ching, Hui Pak Sum, Ng Tsz Shun, Annabel Su and Gabrielle Lily West. These eight winners were chosen from a highly competitive field of over a thousand applicants. They will set off for a U.S. Space-Exploration Journey from July 23 to 31 with their parents, where they will undergo simulated astronaut training at the Space Camp located in Huntsville and have a chance to meet an experienced astronaut in Florida to enhance their knowledge in aerospace.
Established in 1999, the YF Life Jr. Space Camp Program is the first program in Hong Kong and Macau offering children simulated astronaut training. The program has consistently garnered strong support from all sectors of society. Through its innovative and unique training methods, the Program aims to
- Enhance children’s interest in space exploration and advanced technology
- Cultivate a spirit of perseverance and courage to break through personal limitations
- Inspire them to embody the “It is Possible!” spirit
The rigorous selection process culminates in the appointment of eight finalists as YF Life Jr. Astronauts. These eight, along with a parent, will embark on a 9-day U.S. Space-Exploration Journey this summer.
