YF Life Launches Special Application Arrangement for VHIS and QDAP

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, and in support of the temporary facilitative measures announced by the Insurance Authority, YF Life Insurance International Ltd. (YF Life) has launched its special application arrangement.

From now until March 31, customers may opt for the non-face-to-face arrangement when taking out the Qualifying Deferred Annuity Policy and Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme product with YF Life. Customers may get to know the product from the insurance consultant over the phone at home. The application process and premium payment can be completed via digital channel. During this period, successful applicants of MY Deferred Annuity can enjoy up to 8% discount on the first-year premium; successful applicants of TaxVantage Medical Plan/TaxVantage Plus Medical Plan can enjoy a 2-month premium discount.

Mr Sammy Ho, Senior Vice President, Underwriting & Issue of YF Life, says, “In view of the evolving COVID-19 situation, the special application arrangement not only enables customers to take out tax-deductible insurance products at home with greater ease, but also to capture tax deductions before end of the 2019/20 tax assessment year. Successful applicants will also be entitled to a premium discount offer. In addition, to offer extra protections to customers against COVID-19, a Free Hospital Income Benefit will be automatically included upon successful application. Upon diagnosis of the infection, the insured will be offered a daily income benefit of HK$600 during hospitalization for up to 45 days, with a total benefit of up to $27,000.
